KHATC guests have access to the nearby 400m all-weather tartan track, ideal for:

Getting to the Stadium

Athletes can choose their preferred option:

  • Run to the stadium as part of warm-up
  • Be dropped off by the KHATC van for convenience
  • Run back to the Centre for cool-down or take a return shuttle
 
 

Afraha Stadium – 50 KM Away

Afraha Stadium in Nakuru sits at approximately 1,850 meters above sea level, providing athletes with the chance to train at a lower altitude compared to KHATC’s 2,800m elevation. This contrast is extremely valuable for performance testing and race preparation.

Training at Afraha allows athletes to:

  • Experience faster speeds achievable at lower altitude
  • Test their competition readiness in conditions similar to most international races
  • Sharpen their pace and adjust race strategy
  • Improve confidence by seeing immediate performance improvements
